ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON GEOINFORMATICS - GI 2021 "Supporting sustainable development by GIST", January 27-29, 2021 TIIAME, Tashkent, Uzbekistan In scientific life attendance in conferences has very high importance for early stage researchers, as it can be a good opportunity to have some feedback out of the doctoral school on their research results. In case of Erasmus+ DSinGIS project the aim of the scientific conferences in GeoInformatics (GI) is twofold, as it can give feedback for DSinGIS doctoral candidates, on the other hand it will give opportunity to invite geospatial community from the whole country. The scientific conferences help other scientists who are using GIS as a tool in their daily research. One of the aim of the Project Erasmus+ DSinGIS is to organize annual GI scientific conferences first of all for the UZ scientists, however the programme is open for international participation. The international conferences is organized annually. Annual International Scientific GI conferences directly supports DSinGIS Project objectives: Orientate UZ scientists of Socio-Ecological Systems into interdisciplinary geospatial doctoral studies and research; and Improve involvement of UZ academic staff and doctoral candidates in geoinformation sciences into world-wide scientific community, strengthening internationalization of HEIs/RIs. The first Scientific GI Conference of the Erasmus+ DSinGIS Project was organized at NUU on October, 2019. This event was valuable opportunity not only for thousands of in-house students but also for HEIs and RIs with direct cooperation links. This event was supported by Association of Geographers which is based at premises of NUU. It was expected more than 12 presentations and 80 participants. Actually 140 people participated and 57 papers were selected for publication out of more than 100 papers. The special volume of the Journal of Geographical Society of Uzbekistan was dedicated to selected scientific papers of the International Scientific and Practical conference on the topic: "Scientific - research work in the field of Geoinformatics: current state and prospects" within the framework of the project "DSinGIS - Doctoral Studies in Geoinformation Sciences" under Erasmus+ program. The volume is available on this link. The 2nd GI Scientific Conference of the Erasmus+ DSinGIS Project was organized at SamSACEI on October, 2019. Collection of selected scientific papers of the International Scientific and Practical conference on the topic "Actual problems of the development of GeoInformation Systems (GIS) technology and their solutions" within the framework of the project Erasmus+ "DSinGIS: Doctoral Studies in Geoinformation Sciences" have been published in the special volume of the Scientific-technical Journal "Problems of Architecture and Construction". This journal is available on this link. Other scientific papers of the conference have been published in the Conference Proceedings which is available on this link. Moreover, GISCA 2020 has been organized by the Austria-Central Asia Centre for GIScience (ACA*GIScience) jointly with the Erasmus+ DSinGIS project led by the Alba Regia Technical Faculty, Óbuda University, Hungary and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME). GISCA 2020 is supported by Trimble International, GeoTwo and the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The conference originally was planned to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, but due to current circumstances has been scheduled entirely online as a virtual conference on June 1-2, 2020. The GISCA conference series and its publications are managed by ACA*GIScience supported by Eurasia-Pacific Uninet and the Austrian Academy of Sciences’ Commission for GIScience. The International Scientific GI Conferences act as major multiplier engines within the project lifetime and beyond.
