Oral Presentation Guidelines
- Please check the current draft agenda at http://geo.amk.uni-obuda.hu/gi2020/program.htm, please repeatedly check as we are keeping it up to date at that link and suggest any required corrections. You might notice some slight changes to shorten and clarify titles. Mind that all times stated there are Tashkent – UTC+5.
- Presentation times shall not exceed 15min +5 min for discussion, keynotes up to 25min, but can be kept shorter, thus allowing more time for discussion.
- Make sure you register at the conference platform via ZOOM ... if not yet completed, please do it NOW. After completion of the registration the access link will be appeared, and also will be sent to your email which you have used during the registration.
- Do not share the personal access link you receive with anyone else, it is yours only. You are welcome, though, to share the above registration link. Remember, registration is free anyway …
- Upload your presentation until January 22 on GoogleDrive. Recordings can be uploaded as well as desired.
- For any GI 2021 conference related issues please contact Conference Secretary Ilhom Abdurahmanov gi2020conference@gmail.com.
- Your live presentation will be enabled on the Zoom platform. If you are not yet familiar with it, please go to Zoom Help Center and make sure your workplace computer has a suitable internet connection, audio system and working webcam.
- On January 26 4pm Tashkent time we will meet informally online (BYOD – bring your own drink – and snack to your workstation) by using the access link you’ve received upon registration. You will have an opportunity to meet other attendees – consider this our ‘icebreaker session’. Moreover, this is your opportunity to check the Zoom platform (if you want to do this test at another time, please let me know!)
- As a speaker, the online session organizer will give you the co-host role right before your talk. This will enable you to share your screen (or presentation / browser window) with the audience. Make sure your audio is unmuted, and you are encouraged to keep the webcam active at least at the beginning of your talk and during discussion. Discussions will be moderated by the session organizer.
- Use chat within the Zoom platform to address any ad hoc technical or organizational questions to the session organizers only.
- Please let us know if you do not agree with your presentation being recorded.
